Reconfigurable systems

The reconfigurable systems strategic axis is focused on hardware development. The R&D activities of this axis are focused towards innovative development of embedded hardware platforms for pervasive systems. Reconfigurable systems are made of programmable circuits associated with highly capable processors. Such architectures support systems evolution, self-adaptation and are particularly well adapted for powerful data or signal processing.

This axis covers the following fields of study:

  • 32/64 bits micro-controllers and processors technologies
  • Programmable circuits technologies
    • FPGA/CPLD
    • Reconfigurable processors
  • Interconnection technologies
    • High-speed interfaces and buses
  • Digital systems development methodology
    • Digital systems design and development
    • Design methodologies: HDL language and EDA tools
    • Verification methodologies
  • System-on-Chip
  • Material parallelization of specific algorithms
